Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL), is responsible for distribution and retail supply of electricity in the Union Territory of Chandigarh. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eminent Electricity Distribution Limited, part of the CESC power business under the flagship of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group.
CPDL serves a population of over 1.2 million and caters to more than 240,000 customers across an area of 114 square kilometres. The company manages a robust network of 220KV, 66KV, 33KV, 11KV, and low-tension (LT) overhead lines to ensure reliable electricity supply throughout its operational region.
To enhance service delivery and reliability, CPDL has divided its distribution network into 4 divisions and 10 subdivisions. This structure allows for efficient management and quick resolution of customer needs.
